House In The Park 5 Year anniversary

3K IN THE BUILDING!!!! PLACE PACKED OUT BEFORE 3 THAT AFTERNOON! PEOPLE CAMPING OUT JUST FOR SPACE AND GRILLS!

What can I say? Another year has gone by. I, of course, volunteered, donated and danced my ass off like there was no tomorrow. Words cannot express the sheer and utter Love that was on September 6th, 2009. Hell, people flew from all over the US just to come out and show FOUR LOCAL DJs TRUE LOVE. What really wanted to make me cry was the fact that when donations went around, people just poured out their hearts (and money) in order to keep it going. We could have not done it without you all. And for that,I thank you for another successful year. Big ups to Ramon (the creator), Kai, Kemit, Salah, Aishah and so many other who sacrificed so much to see it blossom into something amazing. Atlanta does have a scene and it is ALIVE!

THANK YOU ATLANTA FOR NO LONGER ACCEPT BULLSHIT AND BRINGING REAL MUSIC WHERE IT BELONGS!

Trinidadian Deep

First and foremost, as you know, this year has been a roller coaster. The Universe/God has a plan for everyone and when it is your time, you must go. After hearing the passing of DJ AM, words cannot express the utter shock in Life being taken away. Rise In Peace to all whom have left this plane.

On a music vibe: I LOVE good music. I never expected Trini to play banger after damn banger. The man is amazing. However, he took it another level Wednesday night at El Bar. On top of that, one of the most down to Earth people I have ever had the opportunity of conversing with. Glad I came out on a thundering and rainy evening in the A.

Undergroundvibe of Toronto gave me the heads up. Much Love to all who made it out and of course for Mike Zarin for putting it down!

Elevate on another level

So every Sunday at the W downtown, Mike Zarin and Chris Nicholson bring to us Elevate. I enjoy the wonderful people, beautiful bodies and good music. Oh yes, and getting that Vitamin D. Some pictures I took. Others are from Carlos Bell and Temu Ransom. Check us out!

Me, Simone and Amonds. I Love these people to pieces!

The high that I get from house music.

Shaun Escoffery's 'Days Like This' never gets old.

Hey Hey Hey Hey

So, yes. It is that time. I feel that the Deep House scene here in Atlanta is great. However, it is on Life support. The feeling that others get when you hear a song and the crowd erupts, that IS Deep House Music. We all have been in this game for a minute and it is time for all of us to shine. Post what you feel and how you feel. Look for information to tickle your fancy. I know --- the interviews are mad late. Being busy, yet keeping your head from underwater sure does make things go by so fast.

I want us all as a community to come together. MJQ is no more. Trendy clubs shut us out because they feel we are not the 'base' that they want. Many of us do not go out to events just to look fucking cute while holding a drink. I laugh when I say this. Reminds me of WMC in Miami of 2007. These damn Buckhead Betties (I shall call them) were in the damn way. Timmy Regisford was beating the tracks. Asking nicely does not get through to these broads. However, elbows do the trick. So the bougie and the soulless, stay at home and don't come out unless you are ready to burn some calories and look damn good doing it!

Until then, keep jammin'! More things are on the way.
