Ooh wee.

Yes, the title says it all. This man is coming. Four years in the making. The last time I saw him was in 07 in Miami for the Bembe party. He got so deep that I just felt my ancestors there all around me, protecting me and dancing with us all who were on the floor. Dude is no joke.

THIS IS THE PARTY WHERE I WAS AT! BANANAS! Atlanta is ready for you, my brother.

A video from Danielle, The DDiaries

So, my reasoning for what I do and Danielle was there to tape it all. I heart her. Check it out and enjoy!

A state of transition

[Chorus: Yahzarah]
Out of touch, wasting time
My heart (oooh if this is love)
Everything I thought I knew, I lost in you
You're turning me around (oooh if this is love)
Foreign Exchange ft. Yazarah - If this is Love

I heart that track so much. I had a heart to heart with a good friend of mine in Texas and I have really learned what some of my closest think about me. It was nothing bad. I took it all in stride because she knows me inside out and I appreciate it. LADIES: First and foremost, Love you first. We are all capable of loving someone else. However, when the chips fall, we beat ourselves up and play the blame game. Enough is enough.

Love is gone with yesterday (OUTRO)
Foreign Exchange - If she breaks your Heart

As I stare at Leila and wonder what her next mischievous move will be, I ponder about the thought of recognizing something so good in front of my face. Rarely do we sense these things as women and let it fall by the waist side. It is time to be upfront and honest. I am ready to do me :)

Been a while...

FIRST AND FOREMOST, It has been a minute since I have been on here. I totally forgot that I had a page. Ain't that a damn shame?! SECONDLY, your girl IS ALWAYS looking fly...

Man what can I say? I have not done WMC in over three years. Always good linking up, networking, getting sun and of course, dancing. Always great to meet people, such as:

Jellybean Benitez

Adam Gibbons

Black Coffee

Ian Friday

Nathan Adams is such a darling!

DJ Rork (France)

Simbad has to be one of the most humble people I have ever met. Not to mention an amazing producer/DJ. This boy is baaad!

Laying out in the sun is also a plus. I love getting tanned!

Giving thanks to Mother Earth and all that she has given me. Mind over matter. She makes me feel whole. I really needed this vacay because I work so much and I felt my energy slowly being depleted from me. She set me straight and made me whole all over again. So for that, I thank you. You know at times when you feel your spirit is weak and that everything around you is falling apart? That is how I felt before this vacay. I am renewed, beautiful (inside and out), not to mention an even better being for myself.

So this past Friday, we had Black Coffee from South Africa and he ripped it. I danced most of the night and felt it all. Damn I felt good. Had to pull away for a sec due to a water break, but I was back at it. Here is some footage:

Music makes me whole and it is my Life. It is time for a new beginning for Atlanta and I know when it happens, I will be there.

Love.

House In The Park 5 Year anniversary

3K IN THE BUILDING!!!! PLACE PACKED OUT BEFORE 3 THAT AFTERNOON! PEOPLE CAMPING OUT JUST FOR SPACE AND GRILLS!

What can I say? Another year has gone by. I, of course, volunteered, donated and danced my ass off like there was no tomorrow. Words cannot express the sheer and utter Love that was on September 6th, 2009. Hell, people flew from all over the US just to come out and show FOUR LOCAL DJs TRUE LOVE. What really wanted to make me cry was the fact that when donations went around, people just poured out their hearts (and money) in order to keep it going. We could have not done it without you all. And for that,I thank you for another successful year. Big ups to Ramon (the creator), Kai, Kemit, Salah, Aishah and so many other who sacrificed so much to see it blossom into something amazing. Atlanta does have a scene and it is ALIVE!

THANK YOU ATLANTA FOR NO LONGER ACCEPT BULLSHIT AND BRINGING REAL MUSIC WHERE IT BELONGS!

Trinidadian Deep

First and foremost, as you know, this year has been a roller coaster. The Universe/God has a plan for everyone and when it is your time, you must go. After hearing the passing of DJ AM, words cannot express the utter shock in Life being taken away. Rise In Peace to all whom have left this plane.

On a music vibe: I LOVE good music. I never expected Trini to play banger after damn banger. The man is amazing. However, he took it another level Wednesday night at El Bar. On top of that, one of the most down to Earth people I have ever had the opportunity of conversing with. Glad I came out on a thundering and rainy evening in the A.

Undergroundvibe of Toronto gave me the heads up. Much Love to all who made it out and of course for Mike Zarin for putting it down!
